Next door they are planning a celebration and asked for an abalone recipe that would blow everyone away. The list of ingredients was not too long, and consisted of slices of ham and Swiss cheese, Parmesan cheese, flour, eggs, milk, cream of chicken soup, white wine, sage, salt, black pepper, olive oil, real salted butter, and more flour. It is not the simplest abalone recipe ever, but not the most complicated either.
First whip the eggs and milk together, and slice abalone patty thick and against the grain, abalone recipe style. Oven is preheated to 300 degrees. Create breading mixture with flour, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, sage, and salt. Make little stacks of abalone, cheese, and ham, secured with heavy-duty toothpicks. Flop them around in plain flour for a while, (this abalone recipe is flour intensive), then dunk them in the egg, covering copiously, and remove, placing in flour Parmesan and spice mix, pressing the mix on with your hands to coat well. Sautee little sandwich stacks quickly in very hot oil until browned, remove and place in casserole, smothering with wine and soup sauce. Completed abalone recipe results after baking for fifteen minutes.
